Getting started

1. Open the app and click Add ebook.
2. Choose the product buyers pay for (or create one first).
3. If it has Paperback and Ebook variants, tick the ebook variants. Upload your EPUB and/or PDF.
4. Place a test order. The ebook items are fulfilled straight away and the buyer gets a download link.

Common questions

Where does the buyer find their ebook?

In Shopify’s shipping-confirmation email from your store, and on their order status page, as a “Ebook download” link. It opens a library page with every format and reading instructions. The link doesn’t expire.

A reader can’t find their email

Open Delivery settings, look up the order number, and send them the library link.

I updated my book

Upload the new file and remove the old one. Everyone who bought it gets the new version from their library.

What happens after a refund?

Refunded or cancelled orders lose access to their downloads automatically.

How big can files be?

Up to 20 MB per file (Shopify’s limit for files). EPUB, PDF, MOBI, AZW3, ZIP and MP3 are supported.
